2021 NOTE

It took a pandemic, and the subsequent lapse of live music making, to make me update my biography. The last live event I was really able to take a part of was a Valentine’s concert I produced in February of 2020, “If Music be the Food of Love.” In this concert I was able to perform my newest song cycle, Seven Shakespeare Songs, with longtime friend Heidi Rodeback on piano. Since then I have produced some multi-track music videos, organized an online version of the annual Utah Uke Fest, and completed my short read / novelette AIYA SEVEN. I fear that studio music making will never replace the rapturous act of making music live, but we do what we can. I long for the day when making music together with other folk will resume without restrictions. Until then, if you’re interested in collaborating on something via email, or getting your favorite poem set for yourself or your choir, please drop me a line (see contact info).
